In Vivo: how to rethink architecture in a world of limited resources?

Every other year, Venice, which is continually under threat from the waters, devotes its Biennale to architecture, and this year's theme is The Laboratory of the Future. Vinciane Despret, guest of honour at the Estivales, is sharing the curatorship of the Belgian Pavilion with the Bento association, which is bringing together a collective of architects, designers and microbiologists for the occasion.

They are presenting the In Vivo installation, a laboratory of alternatives for territories and cities forged around mycelium, the filamentous part of fungi, whose properties could shake many of the certainties anchored in construction practices. With this conversation, on 24 July, they will open the cycle Relations between humans and non-humans, which is part of the Estivales programme.
